In particular, we negotiate, draft and review agreements relating to the film, television, music, live performance and publishing businesses. Our clients include actors, writers, directors, musicians, composers, producers, authors, publishers, promoters, merchandisers, licensors and licensees.
 
The practice of law in this field involves many areas of law such as the law relating to contracts, copyright, trade marks, taxation, conflict of laws and cross-border issues relating to same.
 
As a result of the practice in this area, we have strong relationships in Canada, the U.S. and elsewhere with managers, agents, production companies, broadcasters and promoters. We have dealt with CTV, the Comedy Network, CBC, CanWest, HBO, Comedy Central, Showtime, NBC, ABC, Fox, CBS and a myriad of others around the world. With respect to stage productions, we have dealt with all of the major promoters such as LiveNation and AEG Live.
